About the Salon
Giving our clients the best of us is what we value most. We believe in quality over quantity, making sure our clients are happy every single time they sit in our chair. All of our stylists and shampoo techs are licensed, and whether it’s your first time or 50th time in our salon, we want you to receive the absolute best service possible.
We named the salon ‘LocalLuv’ because it represents what we are – a place to come where you know you’re going to get the best service, with the utmost professionalism, in a very down-to-earth environment with people who are fun, friendly and extremely talented. You’ll get an intimate experience with prices that work best for you. The foundation of the salon was built on all of the people who have helped and inspired Meghan along the way, and nothing but good vibes and good karma for every person that sits in her chair.

Meghan Quinn
Owner | Master Stylist
Master Artist, Colorist and LocalLuv salon owner, Meghan is a six-time Best of Delaware Best Stylist winner. Meghan has been in the industry for 17 years and when she is not behind the chair she is mom to her two little girls.
Meghan never had intentions of ever of doing hair and actually fell into the business while going to school for nursing. When she fell upon some hard times in her life, she was presented with an opportunity to work in a salon as a shampoo tech. She was a college dropout with little guidance and no direction and stumbled upon this career path that led her to where she is today. Meghan is a six-time Best of Delaware winner and has won multiple awards for her social media talents and portfolio of wedding hair. Owning a salon was never something that she ever thought could happen in her life, but with 17 years of hard work and never giving up, today she’s the owner of LocalLuv salon in Hockessin.
Meghan loves what she does with all of her heart and soul — she gives all of herself to her clients and does her absolute best for them every single time. Seeing people smile and walk out the door happier than they were when they came in, and building relationships with people that usually last for many years, is the ultimate gift she gets from this industry. The salon started as a dream and has now become a reality — and it’s very surreal.

I have had the pleasure to be certified in #glamseamless hand-ties extensions along with tape-in extensions! I’ve attended numerous Redken classes along with the Master of Balayage retreat last year! Hi, my name is Lacey! I have been working in the industry since 2016, when I started as a shampoo tech in high school. Since then I have worked my way up, having experience in every aspect of the salon setting. I’m currently apprenticing and working as Meghan’s assistant to further my education and equip me with the knowledge to thrive behind the chair. My specialty is in balayage and blonding. Keeping up with the trends and continuing education is something very important to me. I strive to create a positive and relaxing environment for all clients. Hope to see you soon!

I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2012. I worked behind the chair for 8 years til I took a small break from the hair industry to raise my 2 kids. SALON POLICIES
PRICING
Our pricing varies slightly by stylist and amount of product used during coloring services. Every price on the website is a starting point, not a final amount.
Cancellations | No Shows
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for rescheduling or cancelling appointments. For appointments cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance, or if you do not show up for your appointment, your card on file will automaticallly be charged 50% of the services that were booked.
Appointments canceled 48 hours prior to your appointment time will be charged a $25 rescheduling fee.
For any consultation “no-shows”, there will be a $25 rescheduling fee to schedule another consultation.
We greatly value our stylists’ time and want to ensure that we can accommodate as many guests as possible within our operating hours.
Confirmation Calls
We will text & confirm your service appointment 2 business days prior to your appointment date. If we are unable to reach you and can only leave a message, understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates & times to avoid missed appointments & the cancellation fee.
Redo | Adjustments
If you are not happy with your results, please call or text your stylist directly. Our team will be happy to make small tweaks & adjustments within 2 weeks or less of your appointment.
Deposits
All larger services require a 50% deposit — balayage, foilayage, Brazilian blowout and corrective colors and all specialty colors.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds of any kind (this includes gift cards purchased online and in salon).
Loyalty Program
We are no longer offering the previous loyalty card program and are now rewarding loyalty points through our online system when clients check out.
